But most of his clients were Joe and Jane Average—ordinary men and women trying to change their lives for the better.
This collection is the best of Silveira's advice for achieving that change. If—like most of us—you’re searching for direction, his straight-talking blend of fitness expertise, life experience, and spiritual insight can put you on the path you’ve been looking for.

"Iron Addict's Way of Change is a life's work of achievement poured into a single book. Wesley uses this book to convey his simple yet profound way of life. A way of life that isn't preached to the reader, but rather practical suggestions are made from cover to cover. As only Wesley could write it every page is full of wisdom, and this wisdom always finds a way to take on a meaning far deeper than just the words on the surface. Whether it be his advice about body or mind, this book is a must read for any person looking to better his or her self in life." -- Skipper
"I'm not an 'Iron Addict' but I can appreciate the principles Wes lived by and taught others to live by: Respect yourself. Respect your body. Respect your fellow humans. Feed your soul, your mind, and your body well. The lessons in this book can be applied well beyond the gym, and anyone - regardless of your physical condition or interest in weight lifting - can benefit from what Wes has to teach. I'm so glad I read this book."
"I never spoke to Wes or trained under him. However, I did read his two other books (A Body of Work and Principles of Fat Loss). I have also read most of his posts on ironaddicts.com as well as another board where I assume he used to mod back in the day. In numerous parts within IA's Way of Change, it almost felt like the "Cliff notes" version to the other two books I mentioned as well as the actual ironaddicts.com board/forum itself. Very insightful, entertaining and with tons of nuggets of wisdom from Iron Addict (Wes) himself. I would recommend this book as well as the two other books for anyone interested in the real deal, no BS on training, recovery/rest, nutrition/diet and most importantly life in general. Congratulations on a job well done!"
"Way of Change is a very well organized collection of Wesley's thoughts and posts from years past on his forum, Ironaddicts.com. This is as close as you will ever come to having a conversation with one of the most brilliant men I have ever had the opportunity to talk with. His views on weight training and how it affects your life in a positive manner will forever echo in my mind. It is a complete work to get you where you want to be physically and mentally. I HIGHLY recommend this book."
"Wesley was a personal friend of mine. This book contains a number of his thoughts, all of which point towards changing your life where it needs to be changed. If you have any interest in how weight training can positively impact your life, improve your self-esteem for the right reasons, and bring about the physical changes you desire, there is no other work like this on the market. It is truly unique."
