supplements for hearing?

i think a lot of us have our bases covered supplement wise for a number of conditions and organs, but what about for our hearing?

is there anything someone can take to protect your hearing and slow the onset of hearing loss?

Trouble mentioned ALCAR to me in passing, but I don't have details nor undrstand the mechanism. It was also for a specific issue. It's something I could use. I am 85% deaf in my right ear and have significant loss in my left. No one told us when we were kids we needed to wear hearing protection when shooting our shotguns and rifles. Between MANY years shooting unprotected, rock concerts, and riding Harleys since age 18, my hearing is pretty shot.

I hear fine with my left ear and the volume turned up. If I held the phone to my right ear-forget it.

Sorry! Poor taste given what you subsequently say, but I couldn't help myself!

Some reversal of damage has been reported in hearing loss and tinnitis patients treated with taurine, carnitine, NAC.
