It was an ammonia cap, you can see him pull it out from behind his ear, and then hold it in front of him and break it open before sniffing it.

The thing he does rolling the bar toward himself before initiating the pull is illegal in most feds I believe, but it's still an amazing gym lift.

Yeah, a combination of nose torque and a solid smack to the base of the neck/top of the traps gets me rolling pretty good.
