Brewer's Training Log

Currently training under John. Goals are to get stronger and improve conditioning, and if I happen to add a few pounds while doing so that would be great as well

Tuesday 1/10/12

Did some Diesel Crew shoulder rehab work and played basketball

Wednesday 1/11/12

Decline Bench 100x5 105x5

Decline Hammer Strength Bench 90x10 90x10

+accessory

Left shoulder injury is still there. Decline is the only bench move that doesn't hurt it. I go back to the doctor Tuesday and hopefully he suggests something that actually works this time.

My next "milestones" to hit would be a 400lb deadlift and 300lb squat. I haven't been able to bench since late July, so I'd be happy to just flat bench again at this point.

Got another injection on Tuesday, this time directly into my AC joint. Hopefully my shoulder problems clear up within the next few weeks.

Ran 100 yd dashes for time. Averaged 16 seconds, which I thought was good until I looked it up and saw high school girls are running it in 12

Weighed 165.4 lbs

Didn't up the weight- first time using straps and it was awkward. I've watched the redpoint video 20+ times but still have some work to do getting used to them and wrapping around the bar correctly. Accessory lifts went up though

Ha, glad to see I'm not the only one. It's a huge moment.

Tuesday 1/24/2012

Ran 3 miles in 22:54, beating last week's time by 13 seconds. Also had an intramural basketball game at night so my legs were toasted by the end of the day.

Wednesday 1/25/2012

Decline Bench 135x5 135x5

finally benching plates again..shoulder still is not 100% and it still bothers me on regular bench and floor presses but feels ok on decline. I get the hunch I'll need one more shot near my neck but we'll see.
