Deadlift
1x190 1x207.5 PB 0x210 0x210 Failed both of these well above knee but just can't lock them out! So week at lock out, feels like its time for some serious upper back work! 1x190 1x190 5x160 8x140 Did these as dimmels to work on upper back was fried by the end of these! Felt good esepcially with a new PB but need more upper back work added to help me lock out. Any suggestions on good exercises to try?

Do you focus on driving the hips once the bar goes above your knees?
***18 and above comment alert lol *** Ex once told me to think I was nailing a girl from behind, and that really worked to know how to drive my hips... haha

In all fairness I think I was more thinking 'fucking hell this is heavy' Gus, As the 210kg was a weight I wasn't expecting to hit all plans of form went out the window! Will really try focusing on popping my hips through. Will think of the nailing reference
Mite practice that later tonight!How can you tell if the issue is hip drive or upper back affecting lock out? Cheers Mike, I wouldnt like to cast aspersions on Gus, but . . . anyone who posts a picture online with their shorts pulled that high has some issues lol

![]() squat 1x140 1x155 0x162.5 Failed this in the hole, this put my neck in agony. Cramping up hard down the right side an decided to call it a day. Not much but equally a PB after a shitty day at work and pulling a PB 24hrs before isnt too bad I suppose!. Gutted tho, was gonna treat myself to a kfc if i made it! lol

Bench
1x130 0x132.5 Failed part way up, maybe 3 board. 1x122.5 (Failed second rep but will be getting it next time.) 4x112.5 (Failed final rep but not impossible next time!) 8x100 Not bad session, failed a few reps but will get them next time! Sumo DL 1x190 2x170 5x150 8x130 Fairly easy have got more in the tank for next session. Happy all round, lots of room for improvement though!
