Bad sleep after a hard training session
I've been trying a couple of new things recently and the night after the last workout I did, my sleep has been pretty bad and the next night too - I just haven't really felt refreshed when I've woken up in the morning. I've had this before - usually after a deadlifting session. I'm just wondering if any of you experience anything like this on the night after a training session in which you pushed yourself harder than you normally do?
My training frequency hasn't changed, I'm getting at least 2 days rest between workouts, sometimes 3, sometimes 4. I'm only using 4-5 different lifts (3 compound, 2 isolation) and dealifting once every nine days or so. I'm also doing cardio on days off and still gaining fat at a slow rate. So how normal is it to have a crap night's sleep after pushing yourself a little harder during a session? My CNS is probably mashed which is what caused the lack of quality sleep. |
