Chest Exercise Question

Might be a dumb question but I was reading some forums and a general consensus was that flat barbell bench hits your front deltoids the most and is not that effective in targeting your chest. In fact, people are saying that its far smarter to stick to decline bb bench, decline dumbbell bench and weighted dips to get a bigger chest. Does that hold any water here?

thanks IA.

do you think its smart to keep db flat bench and incline Db bench/incline BB bench around? Or should I just focus on weighted dips, decline BB bench, and decline DB bench only?

The purpose being to just experiment it out because I want to see if I am part of that large group who react better like you said.
