There is no "information overload" on my part I'm not sure why you are getting this impression. I'm not reading article, after article, after article nor posting article, after article, after article.
So you just posted an article and said you were glad you read it so you didn't run into shoulder problems, but then you state you had no problems with shoulders when you ran it it.

And yes, an intermediate lifter telling ME what Louie Simmons prefers (someone who's never met him at that) is annoying. Not saying that I KNOW everything that goes on in the man's head, but posting quotes or whatever to answer questions isn't what we want here.

That is not what I personally got from the article. DE Bench didn't solve the personal problems I was facing with bench but Wendlers suggestion to cycle DE and RE is not something I have come across and something I would do were I to attempt it again. There never was a WS4SB4 but I have some ideas of my own that I'll email to Joe Defranco.

If you were upset about the Louie Simmons post in that thread you should have said something and I could have deleted it. You came to this post and said I had an information overload, of which without knowing any of the programming I have done or issues I have faced I didn't know how you can diagnose this over the internet.

WS4SB is no more a "cookie cutter routine" than WSB, SPBR or any other routine out there. I'm not sure how you infer this.

Rafter is an unknown quantity at this point
Its pretty simple really. Just listen to your body. If DE work is killing your joints take a break from it and use something else that allows you to progress. If its RE that you change to and you get results, so be it... Maybe its just dropping DE work for a period of time to let your joints rest... again, listen to your body.

Also, I know when I went to WS, they were doing DE work. It wasnt your typical looking DE work either with light weight. The guys there were moving some serious weight and they were moving it quick.

The thing about DE work and percentages is laughable when you see it in some gyms today... Say you have a 350 bencher and hes going to do DE work. Today he was going to work at 60% (210#). Well he lets his ego get in the way and puts on 225 because 210 in his mind doesnt look good. To look good you need at least 2 plates on each side.... So he gets under the bar and presses 225 but it doesnt move quick at all. Instead of dropping weight like he should he stays at 225 and keeps it slow. Now I'm not saying 225 isnt good but if you are going to do DE work then you need to be explosive and powerful and under control.
