I like it for now and will let my weaknesses come up at the expense of some momentary ME strength. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7mFHA_06ho This pull wasn't as smooth as the 495 from my last session. But it does show my stance is closer and that I'm taking all the slack out of my arms before pulling. I like the change so far and will see how things go. My only beef is that I'm right-sided dominant and stances this close tend to exacerbate my left/right strength discrepancy. I've been diligent about unilateral quad/ham work though so I'm hoping this offsets the problem. |

Keep up the good work buddy, I love that trap bar! How do you do your carb ups? I've only done keto once in the past for fat loss, and it worked really well, but it was definitely a bit of a deprivation diet for me as IA said. I was doing it at 2000 kcals a day with a full cheat day every 2 weeks.

Last week was busy as all get out. Spent most of it out of town presenting at a conference hence the lack of updates.
The last two workouts of this cycle went something like: Dips BW x 8 25 x 5 35 x 5 50 x 8 60 x 8 75 x 8 90 x 7 Rep PR Focused on keeping things slow and controlled. It was even a morning workout which I try to avoid. Was really pleased to hit a PR on these. Deads 135 x 5 225 x 5 275 x 3 335 x 1 385 x 1 425 x 1 455 x 1 485 x 1 515 x 1 PR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdwD2P4wC6s This was an AWESOME way to finish the cycle. It was one of the coolest things in the world to feel the bar flex before it broke the floor! I probably pushed things one week longer than my body really loved, but hey I PR'd so all's well that ends well Could tell that was it because I just had nothing in the tank after the 515; tried to pull for reps and didn't get anywhere haha.Going to restart things on Thursday. Until then a couple GPP sessions in the form of heavy-bag work and some good eating. |
