Hey Cranky when you say HIIT on the treadmill what specifically are you doing. I have a bad hip flexor injury so jogging is out. I alternate the incline between 4 and 12 (the highest mine goes). Its not really HIIT but at least I'm playing with the intensity. Do you sprint?? Or is it walking? If its sprinting do you feel it effects your main lifts in a negative way??

thanks for popping in Paul . it varies . most of the time I'll start at an incline of 15 walk for about 3 or 4 min. then sprint on an incline for a 1 min. drop the treadmill back down and walk for a couple of min. at a fast pace . Sprint for 1.5 to 2 min much faster then on the incline ( @ 6.5 mph) then repeat . the sprinting on an incline of 15 is a killer .. as for effecting my training I don't think so I usually have a few days to recover before I hit the gym again . find that if I pull the sled and have a lower day following then it can hamper Squats or Deads .

Thanks for the reply Cranky you are an inspiration here. Your workouts have a great balance of strength training, hypertrophy training, conditioning etc... It has it all. I enjoy checking in and will continue to do so!!
