Best time to take ALA,Glutamine

When is best time to take ALA, and at what doses? What dose of glutamine is effective, will 10g a day have an effect?

As far as glutamine goes, I didn't see much of anything under 50g a day, go with 30g.. As for ALA, if you mean Alpha Lipoic Acid, take 300-500mg with every carb meal.. I use ALA year-round at 2g a day..

ouch, i dont think ill be able to afford 30+ grams of glutamine a day. 8)

i just read on animals old board that he recommended to take ala before workout due to its antioxidant properties, and that ala with every carb meal makes u fat. Whats your opinion of that??

Search for my pics on AM, if I'm fat then don't do it..

I use ALA all year long, never come off or cycle, my bf% never goes over 12%.. Might be different for others, never know..

Just to clear that up: he recommended R-ALA not ALA pre-w/o with ALC.

IMO either one is fine, ALA is a good antioxidant, while R-ALA is stronger and has more of an effect on nutrient partitioning.. I suggest a mix of both (100mg R for every 200mg regular) since ALA has a longer duration, and R would enhance its uptake..
