i would say that it depends on how you look at that question, and what types of ab exercises you do. if you're in an "abs class" for 1 hour, sure, that can help you loose ab fat, but you're going to loose fat everywhere else before the ab area if you're a guy. if you are speaking of strictly spot reducing only, nope. although, .01% is something, LOL, you definitely wont notice it!

I remember when my stupid ex used to get lean for the summer, she would just do tons of crunches every day, drinking diet coke and doing a starvation diet. She would get lean as hell, and attributed it all to her crunches.
People can be extremely stupid. |

I think building your core up is a good idea anyway... besides when you do decide to lean out your abs will look better... so why not do abs when your in a gain phase, make them strong as hell, then when you lean out they will look great
