velocity diet thread

Well sort of...I'm doing a much simplified version because of $.

starting weight: 165lbs I'm going by mirror to judge results
supps: whey, casein, fish oil, fiber, bcaa, yohimbe hcl, caffeine, coffee, green tea extract, vitamins

about 200p/25c/15f

I have a torn ACL and a broken finger, so not much working out...I can only do chest and arms on the machines, any pulls cause my finger to swell up in pain.

I'm at the end of day 2 and fighting off hunger is really tough only because I'm sitting at home doing nothing but resting and watching my family eat junk food. pics coming soon...

That diet is garbage, yes people got results, but it's pure torture. Do keto so at least you can eat and keep total cals down since you're sidelined

jwy...I got your PM on this & sorry I havent responded yet....

At 165lbs you do not need this diet at all and I can not recommend enough that you do NOT do it. In all likelihood your metabolism will be trashed when you're done.

I speak from experience on this as I have ran it 2x all the way thru. Did it work for me? Yes, plain and simple..but it sucks. I was also fat (I imagine much fatter than you).

Anyway, that's my advice....but having read a lot of your replies in other threads, I know you probably won't listen & will just do it anyway so please post up your results.

Honestly, if you think I shouldn't do it because it's mentally hard, then I would like to try it out because the mental challenge is part of the reason I am doing it. However, if you think that this diet would hurt my body more than help in terms of metabolism and body comp, then I guess I will do a keto.

I'm on day 3 and I feel much better energy and hunger wise. I even made it to the gym today and had a pretty good chest workout. I lost about 4lbs already but I know this is water weight.

It's not because it's mentally hard, you are 165, why do people cut at that weight? Gain muscle and keep the fat at bay and you'd be better off with a solid diet. Dieting, being consistent at the dinner table and in the gym and cardio is more mentally challenging then pounding shakes all day. FWIW, I think you'd be better off hiring John then runnig T Notion V Diet.

After reading your responses, I have decided to stop the velocity diet and run a keto like suggested. Thanks for the input.

I did v-diet a few years ago. Lost about 10lbs (fluids, muscle, fat,..) and strength dropped big time. Sad thing is, none is going to get ripped doing this diet unless they are pretty muscular and lean to begin with... Besides, just consuming cold shakes just plain sucks.

dude your eating 1,000 cals/day?? you're gonna damage your metabilism..just eat real food and hit whatever exercises you can hard...i know it sucks but find a way forward...you'll come out for the better
