OK, how about lifting styles for body types and diet.

It seems like gym rats have a common physique, as do powerlifters, as do bodybuilder types, etc. My question concerns this but in two different ways.

1) Do certain body types tend to fair better with certain types of lifting? Ex. would be those who are like stick figures w/ skinny wrists and ankles, vs. heavy guys who are built very solid.

2) What type of changes would a person make in their routine to accomodate changes in diet? Would a see-food diet go best w/ any particular style/rep range of lifting, or is there a lifting style that could maximize a diet that was close or slightly below maintenance? Does the lifting style itself tend to stimulate the food intake that is best for it?

Any input would be appreciated, as it seems like there are some valuable nuggets of information floating around concerning this, but they would be difficult to track down. Thanks.
