BCAA, EAA weight
If you are using the little round scoops from True Protein that are supposed to throw 5 grams, you have bee severely shorting yourself on quantities. It really isn't TP's fault. They can't make a plastic spoon for the price they charge that is accurate with all products which is one reason they have a scale right at the VERY TOP of the supplement page. You need a scale that will weigh small grams if you are going to be accurate. The good news is that scoop throw 10 grams glutamine right on. EAA's are denser than BCAA's, glute and taurine are MUCH more dense and thus weigh more by volume.

Here is the link to the scale: Digital Pocket Scale
I am very happy to have bought one, well worth it. The difference between Taurine density and Creatine mono is just retarded lol. |

I have always thought that 1 heaped teaspoon measure equals approximately 5g of powder (as per instructions in your average cooking recepie). I just checked this on a kitchen scale and it took 35 heaped teaspoons to get 100g of BCAA which makes a heaped teaspoon approximately 2.8g. It takes about 46 level teaspoon measures to make 100g of BCAA which works out at about 2.2g per level teaspoon.
If I have got the math right I have been taking about 50% less BCAA that I thought -SHIT

![]() If you didn't see an improvement I would have assumed you would have increased the dose to see if that helped so the lower size of the scoop wouldn't really matter much. Of course it still is best to measure any crushed product with a mass scale since the arrangement of the particles as well as the volume of air between them are variable and therefore will make the overall density vary from scoop to scoop. |

I bet this explains my muscle soreness issues while on the WD. I've been short changing myself on my BCAA/EAA's. I'm going to have one of those scales tossed into my next TP order.

On my digital scale it takes 3 of those small "5gr" scoops to equal 10 grams of BCAA's and about 2.5 scoops for 10grams of the EAA's.

I bought a 50/50 mix of EEA's and BCAA so the weight of each is different. If I take like 30g of them mixed, I wont know the exact ratios of what I'm taking. should I be concerned? Maybe next time i'll just order them separately.
