Any suggestions to make my current 'diet' more filling?
Hey, i'm 19, male, (5'10, 155 lbs) and i'm trying to make my current diet more 'filling'. I find that i'm pretty hungry throughout the day with my current meal plan. I'm not picky at all with food, I love eating pretty much anything (only food I don't enjoy too much below is the tuna). Been following the current plan below for a few weeks now and I still find myself hungry throughout most of the day. Thanks, btw:
Morning Workout Post: 1 serving protein powder + 1 can of sweet potato baby food mashed Breakfast: .75 cups (dry) oatmeal 3 whole eggs + 1 egg white 3 oz broccoli, 3 oz green beans, 1 zucchini, 2-3 asparagus stalks Lunch: 8 oz lean ground turkey (~300 calories) 3 oz broccoli, 3 oz green beans, 1 zucchini, 2-3 asparagus stalks Afternoon Meal: 8 oz skinless, boneless chicken 3 oz broccoli, 3 oz green beans, 1 zucchini, 2-3 asparagus stalks Dinner: 1 can (4.5 oz) tuna 3 oz broccoli, 3 oz green beans, 1 zucchini, 2-3 asparagus stalks, 90 grams spinach Before Bed: 1 cup cottage cheese This equals out to about 2100 calories per day (58g fat, 120g carbs, 265g protein - fitday) leaving me some room to snack on a little extra chicken/turkey/egg whites/veggies throughout the day if i'm super hungry so I won't go over 2500 calories. Been seeing good results physically with the above plan, just wondering if there's any tips/adjustments/additions/replacements/etc; to possibly getting myself more 'full'. Also, I make sure to drink at the minimum a gallon of water a day. Thanks! Last edited by sheep10; 07-29-2009 at 12:50 PM. |

If your 5'10 155 you shouldnt be dieting. You need to just eat more.

I dieted down from about 180 until I got to 145 but looked pretty skinny-fat. Started lifting 3 months ago (having never lifted/been involved in sports) and slowly increased my calories and have been seeing slow, but steady gains in weight and strength. I'm looking more 'full' now, still too skinny-fat in my opinion, but i'm getting there, slowly. Trying not to gain too much fat in the process. Pretty happy with the results so far, just wish I wasn't so hungry all day.
