Diets I like

Here is a list of the diet types I like, use with training clients, cover everyone from very bad discipline levels, to extremely disciplined, and work very well for fat loss for their INDIVIDUAL intended use. These are the diets I am including in my fat loss book. Most of them can also be used for massing if the macro's and overall caloric levels are changed:

Zone Type Diet
Timed Carb Diet
Half Day Timed Carb Diet
Carb Cycling Diet
Keto Diet
“Warrior” Diet
“Paleo” Diets

Definetely not all inclusive but if you can't lose fat using one of these, you aren't likely to lose it with another diet type.

I just read on the paleo diet the other day. It is nice to see it gets a nod from you. I notice the food allergies you have talked about in the past mostly consist of the DO NOT EAT foods on that diet. I a guessing you talk about the diet a bit more in your book but is there any part of the standard paleo diet plan/idea that you do not agree with?

Just a few of the food choices. Of every diet listed I think it is the "healthiest" diet possible. To be true to the principles of the diet, most lifters would have problems on a mass phase as no protein powders are allowed. Can you make that one change and make it work? Sure!

Would calcium supplementation be needed on the paleo diet? Would it be ok to drink a few cups of milk each day(2-3)?

Milk is a no-no. They used a very laughable and true analogy. 10,000 years ago, how the hell would you chase a pregnant animal down and milk it?

Early man did NOT drink milk.

Pre-agriculture humans did not drink milk. It's well known.

On a side note, this might be interesting to some. Until about age 8-10, all humans are lactose tolerant until a gene is turned off. This has something to do with humans consuming the mother's breast milk. Most 'races,' aside from Europeans, display complete lactose intolerance after these ages, which is why it is highly inadvisable for those of African or Asian descent to consume milk. SOME Europeans however, can consume milk without problem while others cannot. This is an evolutionary adaptation.
