I have looked over various training routines including the 10x3 and the Top 5 routines.
My question: How could I incorporate heavy overhead pressing movements with accessory and benching movements? I personally can only focus on one or the other, but not both.
For instance, using the 10x3 routine, would it look something like this:
overhead press (say 1-3 rep max)
-if low reps performed, overhead pressing accessory movement
(such as rack presses at weak points, close-grip presses, seated pressing work or lateral raises at higher reps)
-bench work (higher reps)
-tricep work
Next cycle following week:
bench press variation (say 1-3 rep max)
-if low reps performed, do bench assistance exercise
-overhead press work (higher reps)
-tricep work
Could this potentially work?
