Can I ask a question re the SLDL vid? Why do you roll the bar toward you slightly before you lift and do you do this with regular DL as well?

I roll the bar on SLDL's b/c I do them off that step and it's just easier to get to the bar. I don't do it when I normall DL, i've tried, but it doesn't feel right
