Wondering what everyones opinion on trying to cut fat with a diet that includes carbs.I've been around this board for a while and know the TCD is the most mentioned diet at cutting BF.I have used it in the past with good results, but in my never ending studying and research.(I think im obsessed..LOL)I have picked up the book from Chris Aceto "Everything you need to know about fat loss".

I done a good bit of research on Chris prior to getting this book and the feedback i got was all positive.About his credibility and this book. After all, there are tons of books on fat loss. What to believe?LOL..

What it boils down to is 15% fat,1g lb of protien and the remainder of cals from carbs.Calculations are using LBM weight.Carbs come out to be slightly higher than protien.Carb and calorie control are used to limit insulin spikes by keeping the blood sugar levels within a certain range.

I could go on,but i just wanted some feedback from some people that have tried a method similiar to this one and whether or not you had good or bad results.

Thanks

It's really going to depend on how lean you are to begin with, your activity level, the type of exercise, and also your own personal metabolism.

There is NO one diet that works best for people. It just doesn't exist. Some people need more carbs and some people need little. It doesn't matter how scientifically sound a diet is, if you try to use a high carb diet on someone that needs low carb, it will fail miserably.

So someone that's pretty lean, very active, does high volume/rep workouts, and is more a carb type might do fine on this type of diet.

Someone that's 15% BF or more, isn't super active and is doing say 5x5 and doesn't handle carbs well would probably do pretty badly on this diet, possibly even gaining fat.

i would do horribly on that diet - carbs are NOT my friend.
