First time I was doing deadlift the other day and I took a video to make sure I was doing it right.. it felt great but I think I shouldn't have done my back work before doing it.. I had alresdy 4 work set of back in me so my back definately felt like the weak spot while doing the deads.

I wasn't expecting it to be that hard on the upper back... I thought DL would hit my legs more... my legs were almost feeling fresh just after..

So take a look and your input would be appreciated thx!

Very solid......except that it will likely change when you go heavy.

I think deadlifts are THE best UPPER back movement there is. My lats get WAY more sore deadlifting than doing anything else. Not to mention mid-back, traps, and rear delts.

So should I start off my routine with the deads and then go with maybe 2 work set of another back exercice or the deads are all I need for back....??

I was thinking of something like:
Deads - 2 set - 8-10
assist. pull-up - 2 set
biceps
and then low box squat like ive been advice to by "filter"

Yeah i did put a little more weight for my second set and my upper back was starting to go down... ill post a vid of that one

thx by the way!

OK this is my last 3 reps of 7 and my upper back start to have difficulties you can see it leaning forward a little..

those looked fine. use 45lb plates next time and you'll have a shorter rom.

1 or 2 back movements after deads is plenty.

Like EX said, use 45s, shortens ROM a lot. From the looks of it you can go a lot heavier bro. I didn't see much strain at all, just a slight hitch probably cuz you were tired from 8-10 reps! lol

love the guy walking right next to you, deadlifting seems to encourage that kind of behaviour

other guys commented on your form, and it looks fine, to echo IA you're unlikely to pull with such textbook style when the weights get heavy but you look good to go there..

hey bro, your form looks solid. just be sure to explode up through your heels. and yes, i would definitely do your deads at the beginning of your workout, and maybe add in some rows too.
