Yup.
Can't believe that now they're saying "well, the 'actual' story wasn't true, but this kind of stuff is happening....well, it just is...and, we had to report it" <--- blah, blah, blah

Man, all of Islam was in an uproar.
They're allowed to smash 2,000 years old Buddhist statues with impunity, but flush a Koran? NEVER!
Double-standards suck.

Well, let's take liberals' likening of Christian "fundamentalists" to Islamofascists.
When a crucifix was placed in a jar of urine or the virgin Mary was covered with cow crap (funded by the National Endowment for Arts -- government subsidized), why didn't "Christian fundamentalists" riot, maim and kill? A bunch of pretentious art freaks sat around, oohing and ahhing over the "whimsical display."
If I ever say whimsical display in real life without sarcasm, I give anyone reading this full authority to bitch slap me.
This basically explains why extreme liberals are the inside enemy. They will praise and understand the enemies' actions and ridicule their US' actions.

Only Michael Savage could have stated it as well :D

Heh...I'd love to be a talk radio host, but I curse WAY too much. I keep it to a minimum in here out of respect for everyone else. I can't do that in person.

who cares what people do with the paper that text is written on.
stupid.
religion is in the heart not on some paper.
you cant desicrate the sacred words of the bible, torah or koran by destroying it.

Well, remember...these are also people who booby trap Korans, then claim it's EVER SO DESECRATING when a Westerner treats it better.

I totally agree with that Maximus, but extremists of any religion will never understand that or even try to,

makes me wonder about so-called "fundamentalists" of any religion: since having faith means you believe no matter what is said and done, how can doing anything to any religious icon or symbol have any significance?
wouldn't that mean they're worshipping the object and not what it represents, and therefore they *don't* have "perfect faith"?
look at the story of job: guy had EVERYTHING stripped from him by the god he worshipped - not even men of an opposing religion or soldiers of the state, his OWN GOD took everything away on a bet. i mean, everything: his good name, his health, his wealth, his family left him, his children refused to acknowledge him, even his vision was taken and he was reduced to living on a dungheap. still, he held fast to his faith in his god and bore his trials and tribulations with courage and fortitude.
and here's ppl getting their knickers in a knot over a lousy book or a statue.
okay, the buddhist statues, that flaming tripped me out - i was FURIOUS, not because of the religion, but because of the history, love, and dedication to a goal that they represented, all lost out of sheer ignorance. even the sphinx's ruined face (destroyed by soldiers having target practice) offends me to the bone.
burn the qu'ran - burn the bible, burn the torah, burn them all: they can be reproduced by any TRULY faithful adherent word for word.
so what is lost?

When was the last time you saw Christians protesting the desecration of holy Christian items?

athiests protest the injection of religious symbols into our society.
which amazes me that we tolerate this since we are a decidedly and professed christian nation.
anyone who knows the history of this country knows this.
if you dont like it dont pray, dont say god bless, dont say under god, but dont expect me to support the removal of these facets of spirituality in which and under which our nation was created.

i'm not even christian and i get annoyed by the removal of prayer in the schools, the changing of "christmas" to "holiday season", and the banning of nativities etc on publicly-owned property.
i have many friends of all religions who have no problem with christian displays - THEY understand that canada was founded by the anglican faith, which is christian.
but, as always, it's the screaming, freaking wheels that get greased while the rest of the machine lumbers about its business, oblivous.

That's not what he said...he just said, when is the last time you saw deadly riots and promises to kill entire peoples over the desecration of many christian "idols" so-to-speak...I.E. the great "works of art" piss-christ, etc, etc, etc.
But, there are most definitely extremists like that "one" incident with the abortion clinics...

Exactly. I didn't ask if there were "extremists" or fundamentalists...although I'd prefer a Christian "fundamentalist" over an Islamofascist any day of the week.
But hey, I'll answer your question for you, Filter. Yes, they're out there. I've had to deal with this guy a couple of times: http://www.godhatesfags.com . He protests one of our offices outside of the local high school ALL the time...so yeah, there are fundamentalists in Christianity.
They're also not killing off other Christians in record numbers.
