After reading a few routines posted and the info I've gathered so far from my last posts I have come up with my routine so far. Please feel to give me any suggestions.

I have not designated days of the week for my routine. As I have allocated two days minimum rest in between "weight days". The days in between are spent doing light cardio, very low intensity for approximately 40 minutes. I may do abs on cardio days if I'm feeling strong.



All exercises include 2-3 warm up sets.

Day 1 Chest & Tri's
I don't have a workout partner or anyone to spot me. So I use the Smith rack.

Bench - Smith Rack 2x8
Incline - Dumbells 2x8
Decline Press - 2x8

Chair Dips with weighted belt 2x8
Skull Crushers 2x8


Day 2 Legs

Squats 1x20
Dead Lift 2x10
Calve Raises 2x10


Day 3 Back & Bi's

Pull Ups 2x6, then I have to use the assisted weight to help me 2x8
T-Bar 2x8
Cable Row 2x8


Day 4 Shoulders
Arnold Press 2x8 - Seated
Shoulder Press Machine 2x8
Lateral Raise - 2x10
Shrugs - Start at 80lb Pyramid down every 10 to failure


I would like to combine my shoulders with my "Legs Day" that way I would see the cycle complete in 9 days. If I kept "Shoulders Day" on its own I would see 11 days before a complete cycle.
?
Example???

Day 1 Chest&Tri's
Day 2 Back & Bi's
Day 3 Leg & Shoulders


1. How would you seperate the days if I did include it with Legs Day or would you place it in a different order?

2. How long before I change it up with some new exercises?

heres a better one in my opinion. you have to rember that the shoulder is a small muscle group that gets hit every workout. esp chest and tri day.

day 1
legs

day2
chest shouders tris (you wont need all thos eshoulder exercises as all chest work spanks the delts)

day 3
back and bis.

heres day 1 and 2 this week for me.

2/21/2005 mon pause squats 2sets x 5reps 405lbs

2/22/2005 tues medium grip bench purple bands dbld 5sets x 2reps 185lbs 1x1 225lbs (the bands dbld adds about 250lbs at lockout, so 185 + the bands is around 435 or so at lockoput)
push downs the stack 18,12
45° rear delts 2sets x 10reps 40lbs
hammer strength paused militarys 1x10 4 plates 1x5 4 plates + 2 25s.

tomorrow is day 3 thursday and ill do this:
deadlifts either 2 x 5 or 1 x 8
seated rows 1 x 8
high rows 1 x 8
curls 1 x 8
hammer curls 1 x 8

if i add a 4th day it'll be shirt work for bench on saturday. not much delt envolved here as the shirt takes the load off the delts. its all pretty much tri work.

Mantis, I think you're trying to do way too much pressing. My suggestions is pick 2-3 compounds and just do those for a while.
