I'm guilty of starting like 5 logs and never using them... I'm cutting weight this time and will upload pictures of myself every month so I can see my progress. I'll also include my diet.

Febuary 20th, 2011

Bench:
235 x 5
235 x 5
235 x 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYSlhuxsPV8

Incline DB Press:
75 x 10
75 x 8
75 x 6
75 x 0

Notes:

It was a really bad day. I did not eat anything Friday and Saturday was just icecream.... I guess that's how I dropped from 260 x 5 to 235 x 5 and the 235 felt heavier then the 260 did. I got fustrated by the time of my include db presses and decided to go home early.

Thanks Ex, it even uploaded faster too! Aha I was thinking about you during my the pause at the bottom. I'm going to see how far I can get with a one sec pause before the positive instead of touch and go. Hopefully able to get passed 260 x 5.

Here's my diet for that day. http://fitday.com/fitness/FoodLog.html?_a_Date=1298160000.&_a_User=Brad.laughlin A lot better then what the rest of the week was. Gotta start eating like this every day! Pictures to come soon.

I'm not even going to share my lifting day with you guys today. I had an Epiphany during Lat Pull Downs that I've gone about 4 months with out time off. So I'm taking a week off of lifting. I'll use this time to get into HIIT, and low intensity cardio because I've been skipping that hahaha.

Oh here is my pics so I can keep track of my fat loss picture wise.

http://img202.imageshack.us/i/002map.jpg/ side unflexed

Looking at my pictures I'm a lot fatter then I thought I was.

Squat:
275 x 5
275 x 5

Front Squat:
185 x 5
185 x 5

Dimmel Deads:
135 x 10
185 x 10

Notes:

Felt nice coming back from a deload. Probably should of started with less weight since I'm squatting with a real narrow stance going ATG but we will see how this plays out. I'm excited to try out EX's routine :D

My diet has been going great. My morning weight has gone from 208 to 203.

Sumo Deadlift:
275 x 5
275 x 5
315 x 1

DB Row:
80 x 15
80 x 15

Lat Pulldown:
145 x 6
135 x 6

Notes:

First time doing sumo deadlifts. 275 felt so.... easy. I crushed it every rep. I definitely could of done 315 2 x 5(that's why I tried 315 at the end) Oh well I know for next time.

My accessory lifts suck though. I forgot what the accessory lifts were so I kinda guessed. To much pulling work. I know what I'm supposed to do next week though :)

Squats:

285 x 5 +10lbs
285 x 5 +10lbs

Front Squats:

195 x 5 +10lbs
195 x 5 +10lbs

Dimel Deads

225 x 10
225 x 10 +45lbs

Notes:

Squat: I moved my stance a little wider to get more hip involvement since I'm already close stance with front squats.

FS: I love this movement. It really kicks my ass and leaves me breathless :D

DD: 225 still felt really light. Grip started giving out though on my 2nd set. Might wear straps next week.

EDIT:

Calories: 3224
179g of fat 48% fat
309g of protein 39% protein
103g of carbs 12% carbs

I probably ate to much protein. I'm trying to loose weight. Gotta cut the amount I eat. It's so hard to do though =(

Took pictures. I'm not bloated in these so it's kind of misleading. Went from 210 to 202 morning weight. Probably water weight.

Conventional Deadlifts

315 x 5
315 x 5 straps added

DB Row

90 x 13
90 x 13

Pull Though

195 x 17

Notes:

Deads: woot it's been quite a long time since I pulled 315 for reps. I had a big smile on my face :proud:

Pullthoughs: I could of turned out 30+ reps. The gym was PACT and everyone stopped what they were doing to watch me. I felt stupid not because they were watching me but 195 felt like a feather. Gotta find a way to make these harder. stiff leg maybe?

You could swap the pull throughs with glute ham raises, someone once posted that stiff leg could be too crushing on cns.... Only one way to find out though :)
I'll be watching your log :D

Thanks for watching my log :D Yeah I've set up a Ghetto GHR before, I'm, going to have to try that again.

My girlfriend broke up with me yesterday. I feel like crap. I can't sleep and she's the only person I can think of right now. I don't understand. She says she dossent wanna break up, and cried as I walked away after she broke up with me. I Told her I still liked her but she does not want to get back together. We were dating for 9 months. Man I know if I want any chance at getting back with her I need to play the no contact game but I swear I'm going to crack later today and call her to meet her at the park or something. this just does not feel real to me at all!

I hope this won't take a toll on my lifting. It's taken a toll on my diet for sure

Notes:

Squats: Bad day.... I felt slow. What else to say?

FS: Bar got to heavy for me to support on my shoulders. I'm going to have to get stronger at holding the bar or switch to leg press

DD: I LOVE THESSEEE ADD MORE WEIGHT NEXT TIMEEE

Wow lots of PR's in here, nice Grixx!

I know this is probably not what you want to hear but forget about your EX, there are no shortage of women out there! I just broke up with mine a little while ago and it is like a weight has been lifted off my back. Enjoy the single life bro and focus on you right now!!

Sumo Deadlift:
315 x 2
315 x 3
315 x 5 +35lbs

Kroc Row:

90 x 18 +3 reps
90 x 18+3 reps

ghetto GHR:

5
5
5

notes:

Deads: I first thought I missed my first set due to grip failure but it was actually due to a bad warmup. I was to eager to start my working set. A good warmup makes me stronger, I can't skimp out on it.

Row: First time pulling off the bench instead of on. I really like this way. I can get a little leg drive on the last reps if i need it.

GHR: First time setting it up on a lat pulldown. Feels good I'm keeping them.

320 x 10

Dimel Deads

245 x 10
245 x 7

Notes:

Squats: Since I missed my last rep last week I kept the weight the same

legpress: First time trying these out in like a year. I'll probably keep these until I can learn to hold heavier weight on my shoulders for front squats.

DD: grip gave out on the last set =(

If you're having trouble holding the bar in place on front squats why don't you try using wrist straps? There's a good video example in aaron's log http://www.ironaddicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31050 of how he does it.

Deads: I first thought I missed my first set due to grip failure but it was actually due to a bad warmup. I was to eager to start my working set. A good warmup makes me stronger, I can't skimp out on it.

I found the same thing on my last deadlift day, I tried a different method of warming up with a couple more sets and it made a big difference.
You've got some strong lifts, I'll be following this
