how long have you taken piracetam? Definitely something I'd want to look into. I know it's been around since the 60's, but havent heard much feedback from the average Joe..

On and off for a couple of years. It is actually DIRT cheap. probably the cheapest supp in that stack. Helps with motivation, mental clarity (damn I need that a lot) and gives many a sense of well being. I believe it helps neural reqruitment also. But that is my theory only.

15g sounds like a really high dose of Taurine. Forgive my ignorance, what is the benefit of high dose Taurine?
I also notice a lack of Glutamine. Is that just because you aren't taking it now, or do you think it's benefit is questionable?
Thanks,

thats not that high of a dose and the benefis of tuarine would take an article and there are already articles posted here on it. It is a great cell volumizer much like creatine for one.
I do take glutimine at times. It works well but is expensive in the dose range I use.

BAC, but I do have some from bulk also and it seems to work, but I haven't done it exclusively as I've been doing the stuff from BAC that states 3-4% rosavins.

do you take the rhodiola just by throwing the powder on your tongue and washing it down? ive been looking to get some rho powder but ive been reluctant as i hear it tends to leave a sticky film in your mouth (like ala). taste doesnt bother me much, its the film im more worried about. whats been your experience?

Brooklyn did you ever post these? I can't find them. Also what is your opinion on supplemental BCAAs?

Siberian,
ALA almost eats into your tissue and needs to be scraped off. Rho just tastes like shit and is hard to wash down. If you can afford pre-caps go for it. If not the powder is fine and is what I use. I could give a damn what any of it tastes like as long as it provides the intended effect.

I put up the stuff on my anti-glutamine views. I will put together something on Taurine as its truly ***a must have***
Note: Many people, including IA, are pro-glutamine. I do not discredit anyone that knows their body and feel positive effects from said supplment. The research I put up is mainly those who are on a tight budget and are un-sure if glutamine is right for them.
As for BCAAs, I feel they are only worth it for compeitive pro's that use custum blends in times of intense dieting. For Joe Schmoe trainer, no way.

Brook, I agree with your assertion that unless you KNOW glutamine works for you, or budget is of no concern, don't take it. For those it works for it is an awesome supp, many people simply do not absorb any of it intact and it is useless to them.

I noticed that you take PIRACETAM... I was wondering how beneficial you found it to be and what taking it was like. Does this feeling of your "brain waking up" start to go away if you do not take another dosage that day... or does it last the entire day.
I also read that it is not recommended that your drink with Piracetam.... me being a young man (21) I was wondering if you would recommend taking the drug but not taking a dosage after say noon the day that i think i will be drinking. What is your opinion on this?
BrooklynJuice

The interaction isnt much. Piracetam may lower your tolerance a lil if any, other than that no other problems except the ones alcohol brings to the plate on its own

I notice the most effects earlier in the day, but take another dose in the late afternoon. I am NOT a morning person, so the boost it gives is much appreciated. I drag most of the day and by 5-6 PM I am finally fully awake. I am always wide full on awake from 6 PM to about 1 AM most nights, it sucks, but I have always been like this as much as I would like to change it.

I noticed that you do not take Choline .... do you feel that you get the full effects of Piracetam without using this supplement. From what I have read everyone recommends taking the two at the same time.

The apha-gpc and lecitin take care of this.

Yes it will or you may choose Choline-CDP. If you have a more open budget a combination of Choline-CDP and alpha-GPC is NOT redundant and may produce the best effect.

Only the really experience and those aware of even the slighest of subtle changes can pick up on signs that something has effect ot not. But even the best at this will never really *feel* many supplements. In terms of gultamine I guess logging workouts including time and weights used for a period of time w/glutamine versus the same w/o glutamine while keeping as much as everything else constant. The longer the time periods being monitored (and equally keeping ofther factors as equally identical) the stronger the evidence. That being said if you donot know if its working is a sign to me that its not.
