Hye guys, I am about to order a few cheap supplements but I need your advice.

I saw just this PHD Waxy Barley starch for sale for like 4.4 lbs 20 bucks. Good deal and apparently its an improvement for waxy mayze.
Never took WM but I was plannign to since I heard it is a great carb source for after the workout.
PHD nutrition claims that the GI of this barley starch is really really low and there are many health benefits like additional aminos etc.

Think it would be a good buy? check it out http://www.thesupplementstore.co.uk/carb_powders/PHD_Waxy_Vol_2kg-phd_waxy_vol_2kg.htm?browse=1#product-ingredients-nutritional-details

and how about something like NO or this PHD pump thingy.. I guess getting a good pump would definitely be one of those things that make me hit prs consistently... http://www.thesupplementstore.co.uk/new_products/PHD-Nutrition-V-Max-Pump-800g-phd_nutrition_v_max_pump_800g.htm?browse=1#product-ingredients-nutritional-details

EDIT: Last question: I am lactose intolerant and whey is killing me. What is a better Pre or post protein source? The Optimum nutrition egg protein or the soy protein?

please let me know. These are pretty cheap so I was just wondering..

I think NO boosters are crap unless you train short set volume. And even then it is a small gain for what is spent. The barley starch should be fine if you are not gluten intolerant.

Egg over soy any day.

Okay sounds good IA.

I bought some vanilla albumin today that has maltodextrin in it. Pretty good.
I will definitely get the barley starch and will ask for a free bag of the NO powder.

Just a another small question: Does Kre-Alkalyn creatine stand up to its claims? I have been on the mono for a year and I think it helps but I have not noticed much. I take 5g on training days and 2 g on off days first thing in the morning.

EDIT:

Also for the EAAs would you pick pure leucene over BCAAs and just free form aminos?

10 grams a day is the minimum amount creatine works at.

I would pick BCAA's 4.1.1 over leucine. Used with EAA's or not.

Like Wes said, your dose was too low on the monohydrate. As far as Kre-alk, I get very good feedback at my store with guys at 3g a day.

okay sweet
ordering now. Seems like a good total:
Egg protein 4.4 lbslbs from Optimum nutrition + A 60 % off NO booster for a mild pump + Kre-alk + BCAA + Straps + 4.4 lbs barley starch from PHD

All for ~75-80 dollars including the shipping fee

My christmas gift in addition to the fact that my dad finally got me my first credit card and now I can train with IA.
Will be starting in January or February.

Yeah. Look at that arm girth.

My goal for 2010 is to have half the muscle this freak has. What a lean-mean machine!!
