Hey guys im 17 years old and have just started up with IA. I just got my diet/routine from him and everything looks awesome. Should get started on Monday after calling him with going over the whole routine and everything.


Ill have to check with IA to see what i can post maybe just a compound but well see. I will be doing a fat loss with him because I am 6"2 at around 225 18%bf. wish me luck!!

-I usally do Box Squats because i used to progress better but since all the boxes were taken and aerobics class was using the steppers i tried out regular squats for the first time in like 4 months and they felt awesome :D. got the form down and everything.i think i can get 250 next time.

Its only been a 1.5 weeks but its going awesome.my weight was stalled before but now since hiring him the first week i lost 1.2 lbs.hopefully i keep on doing that and drop alot of fat while getting stronger.

Thx guys and yeah bb.com (im still on there tho lol) thinks you can only gain strength on a calorie deficit unless your a brand newb. i think i knocked that logic to the ground lol.

-Before starting w/ IA i did 225x1 for a max and this is far from a "true 1RM"...it was tough MAYBE could have gotten one more but didnt want a force rep with my spotter.Cant add weight plus same reps every week especially on BP.

No idea to be honest. First thing IA told me was dont be surprised if you look in the mirror and dont see changes in the mid section for first couple a weeks because it comes off your extremities first.

My Chest and Arms look SIGNIFICANTLY leaner though.

worked on form for AWHILE...did about 4 sets with 135 and lighter weight.felt i had the form down to go for a PR , lookin at the vid i guess not lol,form still sucks dick moving down on weight next time.

The 350 looks awful though...my back rounded which i dont usually do. the 315 IMO didnt look too bad. I have to check with IA about it and what weight i should do from now on.

your DL form wasn't bad, you started with more of an arch on the 315 rep and less with the 350 but you didn't round much really. Focus on your starting position and really staying tight

i personally don't really see anything wrong with your form lol, as long as your back is not rounded, which it wasnt for any of the videos u have put up

isnt there like numerous articles wrote on that your hips go up coz it's the most ideal position for your or something?

Yer just watched your deadlifting videos mate and your form really isn't that bad! Sure you can improve on it but noones form is perfect but I wouldn't worry so much about it! Your deadlifting form puts mine to shame. Seriously. Mine is painful to watch.

I know I'm not experienced enough to comment (I'll do anyway :D), but it seems to me your hips start quite low. Here's a cut and paste from Dave Tate:

Mistake #10: Starting with the hips too low

This is the king of all mistakes I see. Too many times lifters try to squat the weight up rather than pull the weight. Think back to the number of times you've seen a big deadlift and thought to yourself how much more the lifter could've pulled if he didn't damn near stiff-leg it. I see it all the time. Someone will say, "Did you see his deadlift?" Then the other guy will comment, "Yeah, and he stiff-legged the thing." Am I telling you to stiff leg all your deadlifts? No, not at all.

All I want you to do is look at your hip position at the start of the lift when you pull and watch how much your hips move up before the weight begins to break the floor. This is wasted movement and does nothing except wear you out before the pull. The closer you can keep your hips to the bar when you pull, the better the leverages are going to be.

Once again, next time you see a great deadlifter, stand off to the side and watch how close his or her hips stay to the bar throughout the pull. If you're putting your ass to the floor before you pull, your hips are about a mile from the bar. You're setting yourself up for disaster when the lever arm is this long. This is also the second reason why lifters can't get the bar off the floor. (The first reason is very simple: The bar is too heavy!)

You need to find the perfect spot where your hips are close to the bar, your shoulders are behind the bar, your lower back is arched, your upper back rounded, your belly full of air, and you can pull toward your body. Nobody ever said it was going to be easy, but then again, what is? (Definitely not training in a commercial health club….)

lol yeah i made one when i signed up in that section.

pics will be taken next Monday. dont expect drastic changes since i only lost like 10 lbs and its only been 3 months. still cutting till end of June and then i will maybe hire IA again for my bulk. idk yet.

After 12 weeks my numbers:

Squat: 235x3 to 260x2

Bench Press: 205x3 to 230x3

Deadlift: 315x3 to 355x3


-Time with IA is offically up :( it was a great time and maybe ill hire him in the summer.
-Body temp is low so talked to him today and my metabolism is shot and he put me on above maintence for like 4 weeks till i get it back up.
