Kay, so after 6 months with failing around doing tons of different workouts, eating too little and the wrong things and at the wrong time and reading on BB.com I'm starting to get on the right track. I've decided to make a log now that I've got both training and diet right by soopin' up a lot of useful information on this site.
The last two weeks I've been using a diet I've set up and been training with a low volume low rep split and I've been managing to increase my lifts with 1-5kg each time which is a very big chance for me as I've been pretty much stayed benching 50kg / squatting 80kg / deadlifting 80kg for a loooong time.
Stats: 6' 144lbs skinny-fat. estimating 15% BF 16 years old
Currently I'm:
Benching 3x5 52.5kg
Squatting 3x5 90kg(got this today)
Deadlifting 3x5 85kg(with ease)
Diet: I've been tracking what I'm eating on fitday everyday now throughout the day the two recent weeks to know how much that I can eat and what and when. It consist of:
3 Weetabix /w milk and 3 eggs, multivitamin, 1tbsp fishoil (breakfast)
2 PBJ Sandwhiches
2 cans of tuna
A homemade "weight gainer shake" (1frozen banana, milk, 1tbsp pb, 2 scoops whey)
150g Cottage cheese /w 1tsbp pb(prebed)
Dinner (My parents are so obsessed with this medical dude here in Norway so they have quit using potatoes / rice at dinner and only serving huge amounts of meat and veggies which is great for me :D)
I sort these meals out through the day and eat every 3 hours.
2.400ish cals without the dinner, and 2.7-3k with dinner so I'm hitting my calorieintake pretty well for clean bulking up. Macros are P/C/F 35/30/35 (I think I am not very tolerant to carbs so I try to keep them sub 30 and rather increasing fat and protein). Protein is on average around 1.5g /BW
Workout:
Monday:
BenchPress 3x5(might switch to 3x8 cos bench has stayed at 50-52.5 for a loong time, but going to see if I can break it using my new diet)
Incline DB: 3x8
Tripushdowns 3x8
Abs 3x12
Wednesday:
Pullups 3x failure
Deadlifts 5x5 Rampaging up. Got 1-2 top sets
BB rows
BB curls
Abs 3x12
Friday:
Squat 5x5(same as with DL's)
Calf raise 3x8
Military Press 3x5
CGBP 3x8
Abs 3x12
hmm, that's it I think. Hope this will work now. I've been thinking that I am a hardgainer, but with the recent results with a decent diet I am starting to think that I might not be after all :) Think i've just the regular skinny ectomorph but with a huge appetite(which has resulted in the BF%) :D always had huge appetite and gotta restrict myself from eating more than 3k calories
EDIT: Yea and btw, I'm playing guitar and just got Cubase and a new soundcard so if I get some good recordings I might share it, but we'll see. Feel free to share ur favourite genre / bands! I'm very into Lamb of God lately hehehehe, but also can't miss the classic SOIL (Breaking me down and Halo is some kickass workout songs!)
