i have finally decided to get serious about lifting; this means picking one routine and staying with it, as well as training my lower body, not just upper. ill be doing the increased frequency routine posted by Halfway. next post will contain my first two workouts. i realize the weights are low but keep in my mind ive never worked legs (and rarely back) but now ill be working hard to drive my strenght and size up. oh yeah im 17 5'8 and ~ 165lbs.

5/19

bench press 160x4+1 (spotter helped on the last rep)
bench press 135 10x2
db shoulders 40'sx8, 40'sx6 (extreme pain in shoulder cut it short)
floor skulls - went a little too heavy, will lower weight and raise reps next time


5/21

bb rows 95x10, 105x10, 115x10 (first time to try bb row!)
chinups 6, 5, 5 @ BW
db curls 25's 3x8

tomorrow is legs+easy push if i have time to do it before work!!
