I am doing IA routine and diet at the moment and my goals are simple
my very short term goals are simple

press overhead 235
squat 245x20
Deadlift 475
Squat 385
Squat 245x20
dip with + 90

im about 15-20 lbs from all these goals but stuff is getting very hard now and i am really being tested but everything is going up

NOTE I WILL NOT POST FULL WORKOUTS ONLY PORTIONS OF THEM!

on another note it seems us teens have been completely taken out of the rest of the forum... awesome are own place lols. lets all make a packed to be stronger then the older guys one day! whose with me?:shoot7:

235x19 reps (note a year and 1/2 ago i could not squat this for 5 reps so i am happy)

Im having a hard time getting the calories needed lately I was getting 800+ calories from olibve oil stopped then went back to it but i just cant handle the taste and the burning in my throat so im stuck wasting minutes of my life eating tons and tons of peanuts.

I workout twice a week BTW

This is gonna be good...I will follow along. Strong squats man. That SUCKS you couldn't get that last rep. The brain is a bitch sometimes. You will get it next time, that's for sure.

Working with IA sounds sweet.
It's weird. I squatted 235 x 20 and when I maxed I got like 320. Idk if I suck a maxing or if it was fiber type idk. Always though it was weird and a low max for that. They weren't box squats though, just regular and me trying to go a2g which wasn't rly that low. Just slightly below parallel being I'm fat and not flexable.

Due to the cramps i cought during the G?H raises i could not do the farmers walks today... i think onfurtunately ask IA to remove this lift from my routine even though it quite possibly is the best thing i could do for my squat and dead right now

so today i'm getting fitted for my prom tux and the guy measures me and we have a problem... shoulders to wide waist to small, not to mention my waist is small and my thighs way to big for a 34 waist pants. It a great feeling but sucks because it cost more for me...

speaking of my body today is my prom and YES im so fukin happy i dont look skinny in my tux!, i look awesome in my after party shirt and im fukin happy as hell!!!!!


went into highschool at 6'2 139 (i have a picture ill put up soon) leaving highschool at 6'3 220 no way can i put in words how that feels i hated being skinny and even though im not huge right now
i feel great the work really payed off!

Monday- (if I train strongman events Sunday this workout will be skipped)

what do you like about this exercise? and what rep range do you train in on these? i'm asking because i want to try a different chest,shoulder,tricep exercise and because i'm following the 5/3/1 triumviate template were you only pick one exercise per bodypart on assistance work I thought I would ask you how effective you think they are compared to a db press, incline press, etc.

stick to your basic barbell compounds on the 5/3/1

i do it because it help with the Log press in strongman otherwise i think its a shitty exercise

Good workout feeling strong but beat up... my left leg is messed up in the ankle area and upper thigh is so tight it hurt to walk. I hope its holds up at the competition.

feeling good about the meet. Not sure how good i will do on the log because i a havent been able to practice it very much

Talked with a pro strongman he told me that he made a checklist for his meets and it always helped him remember what to do for each event, to read it over before the event because even with tons of practice its easy to forget simple things such as moving fast.

my personal checklist

Donít forget your lifting sneakers this year like you did last year...

Log-
Donít use a belt, lean back, head looking up not forward and Drive that shit like my life depended on it

Farmers/sled/tire medley
Wear the belt!
Move fast its a race the faster I move on the farmers and sled to more time ill have left to finish with the tire

Truck pull
No belt
take the slack off of the rope before time is started
Drive with legs hard
keep the car moving

Car deadlift
No shoes
sniff ammonia
tighten your straps hard
LEAN BACK
Grab the front of the frame not in the middle or the back

Stones
get over the stone
stay close to platform
Use tacky
wear the belt

breath and even if u feel you cant breath lift the weight so time isnt called

most of all Have fun

Monday:
Box Squats 2 x 3
ATG squat 1 x 8
abs 2 x 20
leg press calves 1 x 30 R/P

Tuesday:
Facepulls 2 x 20 (helps if i do back work before pressing)
Incline DB 2 x 6
Db Shoulder press 2 x 6
Decline CGBp 1 x 5-10

Thursday:
Dead lifts (rotate variations each week) 2 x 3
underhand grip BB rows 2 x 4
Pull throughs/cable ab pulldowns 1 x 20
hammer grip pull-downs 2 x 6
Hammer curls 2 x 8
