Today was especially hard to follow IA's training regimine b/c well I'm in a lifting class and with everyone lifting and having so much fun I wanted to get right in there with my good buds. Instead, I just watched and chilled, which was good too, but after lifting daily its not something that comes easy. But I know the fun will be greater when I look in the mirror and see a stronger and bigger me b/c I didn't overtrain like my other buddies who will be stuck at 250 lb benches forever.

Usually the last thing I want to do the day following a workout is even look at a weight.

If you were just watching and chilling, and you know quite a bit about form and technique, then perhaps you could have attempted to help people out a bit? Spot them?

why cant you just work your routine in lifting class?

We don't have lifting classes here but I'd imagine it could be that:

a) His lifting class doesn't have the required equipment. Do American high schools usually have squat racks etc?

b) He cannot get proper post and pre workout nutrition when at school.

c) If he was to lift he'd have to do what his teacher told him rather than his proper routine.

d) His lifting class is earlier in the day than he likes to lift.

a - mine did

b - why not? put it in your backpack.

c - not if he explained he was doing another routine and showed he was working just as hard.

A) Our school lacks smith machine but lacks a Power cage/squat rack.

B) Our teacher encourages pre and post workout meals.

C) Our teacher gave us general guidelines but let us use our own programs after a few weeks of conditioning.
