I'm thinking about trying the Hard Gainer Routine as listed on these message boards. I just have a few questions about the application of the training, and if it will be beneficial for someone like me. My first question is do you go to failure on either the first or second set? My second question about the program is can I substitute deadlifts for squats because unfortunately my knee does not allow me to squat properly.
My final question is, is this program worth trying with my numbers (listed below).
Squat (pre knee injury) 280x5
Dead Lift 300x5
Overhead Press 140x5
Bench 225x5
Row 150x5
