Here is the latest video of my deadlift http://youtube.com/watch?v=FSkLwumaKJA

From what I can tell watching (and while I was lifting) is that my shoulders come forward at the very beginning of the lift. I've read that your shoulders should stay behind the bar; I just don't feel any leverage that way, therefore I move forward.

Any tips? It also seems like my hips are coming up too fast, but I can't tell.

Bloody shins= good form

but seriously the DL has been a struggle of mine for the past few months. I use to pull like you, and have since lowered the weight and really focused on form. It is going to feel awkward at first, but you need to get your ass down. The first week I could only pull 185.

Bring your ass about parallel with your knees almost like the bottom of a squat and keep your lower back arched as tight as possible the whole movement.
