The quality kind of sucked so it was hard to tell , but are you spreading out your knees when you do it? Are you keeping your lower back arched?

Can anyone confirm when doing GM's if you are allowed to bend your knees? I always do them with a straight leg!

Thank's whats the diff between these two style? I mean are there diff muscle groups involved with the diff styles? benifits to one over the other? between straight legged and bent.

thanks

Dob- I don't really have a reason for doing them bent legged, just felt like it mimicked the squat a little more, and it is more comfortable to me.

it would seem that both have there place. I have mostly seen the bent leg gms in powerlifting circles because the movment of the hip would transfer well to the big 3

All the different GMs have their place. Like Adel said if he bends his knee that movement mimics the squat more and will most likely have more carry-over to his squat... Those were greaet vids Adel, I thought the form was good.

I read that you should wear a belt in the lower rep ranges. If I remember correctly you tried the bent leg GM's, if that is the case what did you think. Did you like them more or less than the straight leg?

I have only done really light weight stiff legged, mainly just to stretch. I don't really feel bent leg in the Ham's either. I might start cycling in some straight leg soon.
