It's been close to a month on IA's diet and doing pretty good so far. I have dropped 2% BF while gaining 4 lbs of muscle. Anyways, last Friday I had 2 beers(first time in 3-4 wks) and almost all of Saturday I felt like CRAP!! From onnly 2 beers. I'm wondering if this is due to being on the diet- lack of CHO's, I'm referring to?

No answers from me on this one. I drink like a champ when I go out-lol. This is the first I have heard of this specific problem. But good job on keeping it to only 2 beers. People that go out binge drinking after a hard week of dieting are just wasting their time.

Keep in mind that if you drink alcohol in an empty stomach or a couple of hours after heavy exercise, it could really make you feel like crap.

I didn't drink on an empty stomach. I believe it was due to lack of cho's and amount of fats consumed. I am currently doing some researching to find out more about this.

Once the alcohol hits your bloodstream, the body will start using it as its main fuel source rather than the fat that it would be using if you were still on your diet. The body isn't very efficient at processing alcohol (which is why you get drunk, basically your brain is running on shitty fuel so you operate sub-maximally), and during the process it (the body) also uses up alot of water (most of which it saps up from liver glycogen). This lack of water means that the Kreb's Cycle won't run properly, and you end up with a hang-over.
On a low-carb diet, the body is already low in water because of the glycogen depletion, so you really need to drink TONS of water to stay hydrated. My assumption is that you didn't drink enough water before and also after the said beers.

I understand all of that info, and the answer did equate to more water. Didnt think I would need that much but desert living combined with low carbs and stimulants = I need a buttload of water
