That's an awesome transformation. I don't mean to sound like a dick, but he does still have a bit of a "powerlifter build." Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Guy has some cannon balls for shoulders, I noticed that when he dieted down with Berardi as well.

yeah...

torn pecs
huge tris
wider waist
very thick, dense muscle...

his physique just screams "ive been lifting heavier weights than you will ever think about for years"

Let's look at your total, his, your physique and his compared side by side.

I just love all the motherfuckers in the audience that are critics that haven't done shit themselves.

dante says it all the time---sometimes the road to getting as big as possible isnt always the prettiest---but once dieted down you can def see the slabs of muscle---hell go to any powerlifting meet and look at how thick and heavily muscled all those guys are -----

Strength+ food+ sleep = bigger you

All I'm saying is that I think there is a bit of a powerlifter look and Dave has it. Someone looking purely for aesthetics should consider that when they are training.

Its hard to pick up sarcasm and tone of voice on the internet...it helps to use smilies. :)

Looks pretty damn aesthetic to me. If he was smaller people would be saying he needs more size here, legs arent big enough, etc. Tate beats 99% of the general population. Is he Larry Scott? Nope but there are what like 10 guys in the whole world that look like Scott.

Now if you want to discuss his before pictures I am with you. This should only reinforce the get bigger and stronger, lose the fat and you will be in the top 5% at any beach you go to.

The guy has two torn pecs, has totaled elite in I don't even know how many weight classes, is NOT a bodybuilder, just a powerlifter that dropped bodyfat for health reasons and I have seen about a zillion buck ninety pound guys slamming him for various reasons. Oh yeah, our current crop of IFFB pro's are symmetry in motion. Barrel guts are in. bet if Dave got one some of you would think he improved.

I have a great sense of humor. Ask anyone that has spoken with me much.

I also have a board that is run without little smart-asses wasting board space making sarcastic or out of line comments. And my intent is to keep it that way. That kind of shit is what runs board members off. While I do post a BB.com it is a strained thing to do because every third post is some immature smart-ass making comments like yours. You have a fair degree of knowledge about this sport which is the only reason you haven't been banned yet, but it is not tempered by humility and it b rings out the "know it all complex" in you constantly.

If you need smilies because you'd actually believe I'd make a serious post about another mans elbows being too pointy, you're an idiot:)

lol.

Back on topic sort of. Where is Dave going with this build? They said something about him bulking again (or ending the diet). So is he trying to bodybuild to an extent or what? Really wondering where he'll go in another year of training as he's pretty much done everything one could dream of at this point.

He is gonna go for Mr. Olympia and beat Ronnie's challenge of deadlifting 800 whatever pounds before the competition. Lightweight!

Tate's goal wasn't a huge chest, it was getting his total up. He looks so dense , very impressive.

I think you have to frequent the BB.com misc forum to get the pointy elbows comment lol.

unfortunately I think I even know which post was about pointy knees :x

Is he still training heavy with his shoulder replacement to deal with? He's lean as shit so im curious if he can build back whatever strength he lost dieting or if he's on higher volume/lighter weight for the long haul now

He was doing high volume/lighter weight because it was better for his cut.

Now he said he has been talking with Trop and Jim and is doing a DC like, lower volume routine.
