I wwant to drop some of more strenuous lifts for a couple weeks in order to focus on some lighter, less intense lifts, so as to recover my system.

For instance, if I dropped dips in favor of incline and flat bench, how long can I go without dipping before I lose strength in my dip. My concern is that I KNOW from experience that no other lift carries over (for me) to my dip, but my dip carries over to everything-that is why I'm hesitant to drop it for a bit. Same with deadlifts.

You are deloading? I am confused with your post. Or is it that your progress has stalled and you want to switch lifts?
At worst when I switch to a lift with no carryover my other lift stays the same. But this is only because I usually return to it after a few weeks. If you don't do it again for a while you may lose some strength in it but not mucha nd you will get it back fairly quick.

Not really a deload, I just want to drop dips and deads for a while because I feel they are taxing my CNS a LOT. I don't feel like taking a break, cuz I'm only lifting once every 4-5 days (lousy recovery), and I just took a break recently.

Thank you for your response shamoo.
