View Full Version : DE Box Squat and Romanian Deadlift From Check

I want to be sure my speed is up to par on my DE box squats. I'm using a 12" box and by the 10th set I seem to be slowing down quite a bit. I took 60-90sec rests.

Here is my 4th set of Romanians, I just wanted to be sure my back looks good and my knees have the right amount of bend in them. I could really feel them in my hams and didn't feel any pressure on my lower back what so ever. Had to re-grip.

From what I can see, on the box squats, you need to control your descent more and push your ass back a bit more.

On the RDL's, you need to do a set without sweats on. I would recommend you start with the weight in the j-hooks at the top of the movement, get tight, push your ass back, bend your knees a bit, drop the bar just below the knees, and come back up. Your legs look a bit too straight to me.

Videos, however, are hard to judge.

Yeah i wqas thnking I went down too fast on that 1st set espeically, I tried too slow it down some but I'll work on coming down even slower. Do I look too upright? I try to get the bar over my heels and I think that's why my ass isn't that far back. When I try too stick it out I end up leaning over a little too much.


I felt like I was doing the RDL's good but I may have noit had enough bend, I know on a few reps I didn't at all. I'll get some shorts on for my next form check.
